Staff Process Engineer

Invenia Search has partnered with a fast-growing, venture-backed health ingredients company to hire a Staff Process Engineer. You will lead the scale-up and technology transfer of new ingredient processes into contract manufacturing sites, making sure innovation turns into consistent, commercial-scale production.

Role Responsibilities:

You will be the technical lead for manufacturing partners, owning processes from development through to reliable commercial production. You will:

• Lead scale-up and technology transfer of new ingredient processes into contract manufacturing sites

• Own method transfer and make sure processes run to spec at commercial scale

• Act as the technical lead and main point of contact with manufacturing partners

• Troubleshoot process issues and drive continuous improvement in yield, quality and cost

• Support a pipeline of new product launches each year, from pilot through to full production

• Work closely with R&D, Quality and Operations to make sure processes are robust and well documented

• Support expansion of the manufacturing network beyond the US

• Travel to partner sites as needed (up to 50%)
  
  

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a hands-on process engineer who has taken new processes from pilot to commercial scale. You should have:

• Degree in chemical, biochemical or process engineering, or a related field

• Significant experience in process scale-up and tech transfer in ingredients, food, nutraceuticals, biotech or pharma

• Experience working with contract manufacturers or CDMOs

• Strong understanding of method transfer, process validation and GMP environments

• Confident leading technical work with external partners and solving problems on site

• Experience with bioprocessing, fermentation, separation or powder processing (preferred)

• Comfortable in a fast-moving, scaling business

• US-based, with willingness to travel up to 50%
