Founders Associate

Invenia Search has partnered with an early-stage clinical genomics software company to hire a Founders Associate.

The company is building software that helps genomics labs turn sequencing data into clinical reports, starting in oncology. Today that interpretation work takes hours of expert time per case; the company's software does the evidence work, shows its sources and leaves the final judgement with the expert. Its first labs are live, and it is now building the team to grow with them.

Role Responsibilities:

You will be the founders' right hand, making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly so the team can focus on growth.

• Work directly with the founders on strategic projects, bringing your own ideas and turning decisions into results

• Help keep the company's finances in order, from invoices and cash to monthly reporting, working with external accountants

• Shape the employee experience from recruitment through to offboarding

• Build a single source of truth for company data and turn the numbers into clear insights for the founders and investors

• Improve how things run, cut out manual work and build workflow automations that scale

• Keep contracts, finances, people and supplier records in order in a regulated environment (EU AI Act, IVDR, GDPR and FDA equivalents)

• Take ownership of any gap that opens up and drive it forward

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a proactive, analytical graduate with an interest in health and technology who is happy to own whatever needs doing.

• A degree in business, industrial engineering, medicine or a related field; recent graduates are welcome

• Internships in a start-up, scale-up or consulting firm are a plus

• A real interest in healthcare and digital technology, from AI tools to automation

• Proactive and self-directed – you spot problems and solve them without being asked

• Analytical and structured, with very strong organisational skills

• Comfortable working fully remote and mostly in writing, without established processes to follow

• Experience building your own automations with AI tools, and using Slack and Microsoft 365, is useful but not required
