Invenia Search has partnered with a fast-growing advanced imaging company, well established in Europe, to hire its first US Field Service Engineer. You will lead technical support in the Americas as the first systems go live, backed by an experienced European team, with a path into leadership as the US team grows.
Role Responsibilities:
You will be the company's hands-on technical expert in the US, keeping customers' advanced microscopy systems running and helping them get the most from them.
Install, maintain, calibrate and repair advanced microscopy systems on customer sites
Provide on-site and remote support, troubleshooting hardware, software, lasers, cameras and optics
Deliver customer demos and training
Manage your own diary, travel and spare parts across the US
Work with engineering and R&D teams in Europe on complex issues and product feedback
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a field service engineer with real, hands-on advanced microscopy experience and a solid understanding of how the instruments work.
3+ years in field service or technical support in life sciences, diagnostics or medical devices
Hands-on experience with advanced microscopy systems
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
A valid US driving licence and the right to work in the US
Based within easy reach of a major airport
Willingness to travel up to 85% of the time
