POSTED

Invenia Search has partnered with a US-headquartered supplier of science-backed, branded nutrition ingredients to hire a Director of Business Development for Europe. The company's portfolio covers joint health, cognition, energy, sleep and sports nutrition, all supported by clinical research. It already has an established customer base in Europe and is investing to accelerate growth across the region.

This senior role reports to the VP Global Sales.

Role Responsibilities:

You will lead the next phase of the company's growth in Europe, deepening key accounts, opening new ones and taking the business into new markets and categories.

  • Own the European growth strategy and revenue plan, building on the existing business

  • Grow current accounts through new ingredient launches and cross-selling, while winning new supplement, functional food and beverage brands and CDMOs

  • Expand into under-penetrated countries and channels, including through distributor and agent partners where relevant

  • Present clinical data and navigate EU regulatory requirements alongside scientific, marketing and regulatory colleagues

  • Work closely with US leadership and European colleagues, with real influence over how the business grows in the region

  • Represent the company at key European industry events and feed market insight back to US leadership

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a senior business development leader with a record of growing ingredient sales across multiple European countries.

  • 7+ years' B2B sales or business development experience in nutraceutical, dietary supplement, functional food or ingredient markets, ideally selling branded or science-backed ingredients

  • A proven record of growing accounts across multiple European countries

  • An established network among brand owners, formulators and contract manufacturers

  • Confidence discussing clinical studies and technical data

  • Working knowledge of EU food supplement regulations

  • Fluent English is essential; German is strongly preferred

  • A degree in nutrition, food science or life sciences, experience scaling an established territory, or a background with a US-headquartered ingredient company would be an advantage

Sound Interesting? If you want a senior, visible role shaping a company's growth across Europe, we would like to hear from you. The package includes a competitive base salary, performance bonus and fully remote working.
