Invenia Search has partnered with a US-headquartered supplier of science-backed, branded nutrition ingredients to hire a Business Development Manager. The company's portfolio covers joint health, cognition, energy, sleep and sports nutrition, all supported by clinical research. With a strong position in the US market, it is investing in its commercial team to win new customers and grow existing ones.
This role reports to the VP Global Sales.
Role Responsibilities:
You will drive revenue growth across a US territory, combining new business development with account growth and working closely with sales leadership and the scientific and marketing teams.
Deliver against a US revenue plan through a mix of new business wins and account growth
Identify, open and close new accounts with supplement, functional food and beverage brands and contract manufacturers
Grow existing customers through new ingredient launches and cross-selling
Present clinical data and ingredient benefits alongside scientific and marketing colleagues
Represent the company at key US industry events and share market insight with leadership
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a business developer with a strong track record of winning and growing accounts in the US nutrition and ingredients market.
5+ years' B2B sales or business development experience in nutraceutical, dietary supplement, functional food or ingredient markets, ideally selling branded or science-backed ingredients
A proven record of winning new business and growing accounts
An established network among US brand owners, formulators and contract manufacturers
Confidence discussing clinical studies and technical data with both R&D and commercial audiences
Working knowledge of US dietary supplement regulations
A degree in nutrition, food science or life sciences would be an advantage
Willingness to travel regularly to customers and trade shows
